Instructional Design is a discipline that deals with formalizing models, methods, strategies and teaching procedures capable of optimizing knowledge creation processes. The instructional designer, on the other hand, is the professional which intervenes in the planning of training events to set up and manage educational systems borrowed from scientific theories and related modelling.

Training path for the Instructional Designer

There are many different facets that characterize the professional profile of the instructional designer in detailI am therefore training approaches. Among many, we recall that of the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction, 2013 (Koszalka, T., Russ-Eft, D., Reiser, R with Senior-Canela, F.Grabowski, B. & Wallington , C.J.,2013) and that of the eLearning Coach” by Connie Malamed.

It can be deduced that an instructional designer can have trained in many different ways. Here we illustrate a training course designed for those who work in the field of e-learning but which can also be extended to other contexts. This is a proposal that does not develop aspects related to technology and information technology but favors psycho-educational issues.
